2 Reasons to Use a Portable C-PAP Machine

If you have sleep apnea, your doctor may have you use a C-PAP machine while sleeping. C-PAP stands for constant positive air pressure. Basically, the machine blows air in through your nose and/or mouth to keep your airway open all night so that you can continue to breathe the way you should while you are sleeping. It will help you have a night of better sleep, helping you be healthier in the long run. The problem with the C-PAP machines, though, is that they can be big and bulky. That means that if you have to do a lot of traveling, you are trying to haul around a bulky machine that can take up a lot of room in your luggage that could better go for things like clothes.

However, there are travel machines that you can use. There are a lot of reasons why you might want to use one of these machines.

1. It's Small

Some of these units are small enough to fit in your hand. That means that if you are traveling light and can only carry a small bag, you can toss one of these machines in your bag and have room for the rest of your necessities. Likewise, if you have to keep a go-bag for work or some other reason, you need to make sure that you are using all your space carefully, and a small, portable machine will do that for you.

2. It Uses Alternate Power Sources

Your home C-PAP needs to be plugged into your wall so that it gets the power it needs to make sure that it is working. But, travel machines can run on other power sources. For example, some run on batteries; so long as you have the right size batteries for the machine, you can have power. Others will even have adapters that will let you plug them into your car. If you are going on a long road trip and you like to sleep in the car, you can plug one into your car and take a nice nap while someone else is doing the driving for you.

If you need to use a C-PAP machine and travel a lot, you might think that you can't use your machine while traveling because it's just too difficult to take it with you. However, there are portable machines that you can take with you when you travel, whether by car or plane. Learn more by contacting companies that supply TravelPap machines.
